We have been coming to the golden egg for at least 7 years. The food is excellent and always consistent. The portions are ample and will leave you full for the day! The service is typically great...Katie is excellent and always in such a great mood. I'd recommend the any of the omelette's though the bacon and cheese is always great! The pancakes are awesome...biscuits with sausage gravy are delicious. I can't recall ever having disappointing food here!

Excellent service! This place is always packed but they find a way to accommodate patrons in a timely manner with a smile. I sincerely appreciate the carafe of coffee that greets patrons as they are seated as chips and salsa are at Mexican restaurants. If you're a local, you'll also be greeted by name and handed your own personal coffee cup from the wall with your preferred table number. It seems all the food is served from a buffet line--nothing served was hot. Maybe that's how they crank it out so fast and turn the tables so quickly... The Famous Barnyard featured a previously frozen sausage patty that couldn't be saved by the over generous slathering of bland sausage gravy. But the biscuits were buttery, soft, and delicious. I had a southern spin on Eggs Benedict...fried chicken on a biscuit with sausage gravy and poached eggs. Unfortunately the only part of the dish that was made to order was over done and my eggs were barely runny. The feature of my experience was the pecan pancakes topped with bananas--yummy and fluffy. Def the best part of the meal. I took a giant cinnamon bun to go...from seeing it on others' tabletops, this may just be worth a an extra star all on its on but we'll see!

So many gluten free options!! Waffles, toast, French toast, pancakes... Fast service, great prices, delicious food. Even on the busiest days of the year, with people lined up outside, it was only a 20 minute wait.

Awesome breakfast! Service was great even though it was packed. The eggs were awesome! We also had a full breakfast including chocolate chip pancakes and French toast. Everything was great!

A huge coffee pot filled with decent coffee and a bowl full of half-n-half and sugar packets at your table is a good sign at any breakfast place. A gigantic South Carolina Omelette with pretty much everything in it was brought to my table in an amazingly short amount of time. Said huge omelette also arrived with copious amounts of yummy grits, a huge warm biscuit, and hot sauce upon request. The service was speedy, kind, and professional, complete with a smile. Always a good thing in the morning, when the only word I know is "Coffee". The atmosphere is that of a well laid out dining hall with tables in the middle and booths along the wall. A few tips for the uninitiated: The busy parking lot is open-air, just off the highway, so be careful parking and leaving! The menu is large and diverse, filled with all sorts of good eats. Pay your bill at the front. Leave the tip with the wait staff. Apparently, if you dine here often enough, you can get a dedicated coffee mug with your name and booth number on it for future visits.

Went for breakfast and we were not impressed. The food was just average, and we had to flag down a waitress to get my husbands toast (this was 15 minutes after our waitress said she was going to get it).

  • Amanda S.

The place was packed when we arrived. The hostess and waitress were very friendly. I tried the chipped beef, 2 scrambled eggs, and grits since it had the most reviews, and I wanted to try something new. The grits were a little bland. If you ask for cheese, they add lots of shredded cheddar to the top. The eggs wet cooked very well. I didn't need cheese to eat them. The biscuits were delicious too. I would probably never get it again (the beef was a little salty), but I would come back to try the cinnamon bun and one of the bowls with gravy. JJ picked the Italian chicken omelette, home fries, and French toast. No ketchup was needed for the eggs, so it was deemed a winning combination. The Italian included mushrooms, onions, peppers, chicken, red sauce/marinara, and Mozzarella cheese. The French toast complemented the omelette very well.

  • Kris C.

The place was packed with lists of locals, so we knew it would be good! Got the breakfast wrap (burrito) with jalapeños...amazing!!! Finished it off with the cinnamon roll and was not disappointed!

Excellent Service and Attitude! Wife ordered Fiesta Omelette, it was a little too spicy for her, they insisted on making her another omelette, Ham & Cheese. All the food was great (even Fiesta!) and there was a lot of it! Omelettes were fluffy & so were pancakes. All the staff was prompt and courteous & Stacy was SPOT ON! If your near here & want comfort food, you can't go wrong with the Golden Egg! Thanks for a great Brunch! We left Full & Content!

Best breakfast at the beach! Nothing comes even close to the quality and service you will get at the Golden Egg. Everything is fresh and I believe mostly from scratch. You can hear them scrambling the eggs to order from the kitchen. Most places crack a whole bucket of eggs and scoop a portion out. The waffles are the best ever! Unlike waffles I've ever had. Crisp and light with a subtle flavor I can't put my finger on. They have real blueberries in the pancakes and real butter to serve with them. We've been here many times and there hasn't been a loser dish yet. They make me adventurous in my ordering because everything has been so wonderfully satisfying. They offer items for all different dietary concerns. Gluten free items, turkey sausage, they are so accommodating to everyone. Great place to bring the whole family. Everyone will find something to satisfy. The only drawback I can think of is that at times you will wait a while for a table and the lobby is tiny. But, the locals are friendly so it doesn't seem like the wait is that long. Last thought, get the kids a bottomless cup of cocoa. It's so good

  • Michael D.

Asked for medium over eggs and they served me egg whites uncooked, runny. And wife's eggs Benedict undercooked. Sent it back. Sorry we came here.

Visited 3 times over our week vacation in Myrtle Beach. My favorite is the breakfast quesadilla (that I order without meat), and my SO likes the omelettes. Not only is the food good, but the service is phenomenal! Very efficient and extremely friendly on all 3 visits. On top of that, they leave the coffee pot on the table, and they were great about food allergies for our grandson.

    (5)
  • Bill B.

Great breakfast place. One of the first places we ever been to with gluten free pancakes. Brenda our server was very responsive to our food allergy needs.

Used Yelp to find this place and they didn't disappoint! So many options. Place was packed but the service was friendly and we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time. We'll be back.

When we pulled into the parking lot, on a weekday and it was almost completely full, we knew that was a good sign. It was packed but we were seated and served right away. My daughter ordered the country fried steak and said that it was excellent. It looked to have too much gravy though, I would've opted for the gravy on the side. She also mentioned that the sweet tea was excellent. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast so I ordered from the lunch menu. You can order from the breakfast and lunch menu at any time. I got the grilled chicken Greek platter, which included a Greek salad, grilled chicken, pita bread and a white sour cream like sauce. The service was excellent and the food was brought to us very soon after we ordered. If you're looking for a southern style breakfast place, this is it. They have a Yelp check-in offer which scores this place six stars from me.

Hands down the best breakfast place in its area and well worth the wait! Always a pleasant experience and the food it consistently good !

  • Natalie C.

We chose the place because of the yelp reviews. I'm not a huge fan of the outside decor, but we loved the food. For a Saturday morning in November, it was packed. I ordered the house Omelet with home fries and pancakes. My boyfriend ordered the chipped beef with 2 eggs. We also ordered coffee and the cinnamon roll that is all over Yelp. The coffee was okay, and we would've preferred ceramic cups over the plastic ones, but everything else was super yummy. The omelet was stuffed with goodies. I didn't know I even liked Chipped Beef until today and we're talking about going back tomorrow to get it again before we go home!). His sunny-side up eggs were prepared pretty close to perfect (could've cooked a few seconds longer, but still great!). The service was very good too. Like I said, we will be going back! :-)

The 411, this place is a pretty respectable place for some breakfast that's not too far from the beach. One thing I liked there was that their coffee was crisp and mild, a good breakfast roast if you ask me. Another good thing: servings are fairly large in size, which I guess means that pricing is relatively fair. I got a breakfast bowl, which is a deep bowl, lined with a thin lair of egg, filled with home fries, bacon, sausage and white gravy. I also ordered a plain pancake to try. Home fries were good, but I would've appreciated a little more onion in the onion/pepper ratio. Bacon and sausage were nothing special in terms of flavor. White gravy had good consistency and decent flavor. The pancake, however, did not impress me. It had a bit of a gritty texture and the flavor was off. I think they might add corn meal to the batter to achieve this quality. It might just be my personal taste, but the cornmeal quality didn't appeal to me. I finished off with BIG cinnamon roll. It was drenched in creamy icing. It was unimpressive. Too dense and not flaky. Not missing much if you skip out on it. Besides that, the service was great and friendly. There's a lot of room for seating. Bottom line: good place for breakfast. However, I remain open to suggestion as to whether it's the best breakfast place in the area. There's endless pancake houses in the myrtle beach area.

Great breakfast. Friendly staff! Eat here every time we come to surfside beach. Have had breakfast there almost every day this week while vacationing. Friendly servers.

  • Ryan Y.

Wonderful breakfast! I had the chipped beef - delicious and a huge helping - and my wife had an omelet that was massive and came with 2 sides. Plenty of food! Prices were great, waitstaff was excellent and very friendly. Great place for breakfast with lots of options. Easy to find on hwy 17!

  • Chris B.

We've tried several breakfast places over the years in the grand strand area, but this one we can depend on as being consistently good. The prices are reasonable. The portions are generous. The staff are friendly. It has a small town diner feel while having the efficiency to handle the throngs of tourists. This was our second visit. I got the "Barnyard" which is a basically a biscuit and gravy with sausage and eggs on top. I added cheese to it and it was great. Despite there hardly being a free parking space and a line out the door, we were seated quickly. Our waitress was warm and friendly, and a bit comical. She acted happy to be doing what she was doing, a welcome sight. My only criticism is that the coffee and tea were not the greatest and my son's bacon could have been crisper. But all in all, I would choose this place over others in the area hands down. Still a 5 star place.

    (5)
  • Randy H.

Likely the most efficient breakfast place I have eaten at. Coffee and cream ready on every table, and they get you in and out quickly. The food was good, but not great. The scrambled eggs were the best part, but the pancakes and sausage were average. Others in my party said the food was good, but had better at other local places.

    (4)
  • Joey R.

The best selections and the staff is second to none. The least time a waitress is 8yrs. Your breakfast is cooked to your liking , they have a coffee club where you buy the cup and they put your name on it and your coffee is a 1.00 a cup. Chip beef and toast to the biggest waffles. Our favorite

  • Dani M.

Nice place to have breakfast I had the Carolina omelet with pancakes couldn't eat it all and brought it back home for later Decent coffee and I like the way they served hot tea. Which came in an individual pot.

Delicious. Stopped in on our first morning at Ocean Lake. My boyfriend likes a bite of everything on his fork, so he was thrilled when his breakfast came stacked and covered with gravy. He cleaned his plate! The service was great and very prompt as well. So good we're headed back for another meal before we drive back home.

  • Ryan B.

Absolutely phenomenal place to eat for breakfast. I've had multiple items but the most unique and flavorful one was the meat lover omelet. A three egg omelet with bacon, sausage, ham, and cheese. I highly recommend this to any meat lover. The staff is extremely friendly, the dining area and bathrooms are immaculate, and the food comes out very quickly. The Golden Egg has an enormous menu to accommodate all tastes. A must-try for breakfast if in Myrtle Beach!

Great breakfast. Will have pretty much anything you want. Fast and attentive service. The cinnamon buns are big and fresh with lots of icing. Can't go wrong here.

  • Scott R.

Ate here twice while on vaca this week. Came because of the gluten free breakfast items. Wife was not disappointed. The GF pancakes and then the French toast were both great in the GF realm. A pot of coffee at the table which was great! The regular breakfast items were very good too. Banana pecan pancakes were good and the sausage links were flavorful.

Great place to have breakfast. Went with the family on vacation and received great service and food. The omelette's are great and food prices are outstanding. We had Beth as a server; she's the best server we've had since EVER. On the spot, great suggestions, courteous, efficient, and always with a smile. She really made our stay great!

  • charles r.

Had breakfast here twice. The eggs Florentine were excellent with lots of nicely done fresh spinach and an excellent Hollandaise. The Spanish omelette was okay but missing some flavour (I actually added ketchup!) although it was well-filled with lots of vegetables. Hats off to these folks: they make real homefries and it's delicious, Service both times was very good indeed.

  • Cindy H.

Good breakfast for a fair price. Coffee was too weak, pancakes dry and the cinnamon bun was hard. Everything else we got was good.. Biscuit n gravy, home fries, eggs, bfast quesadilla, sausage.

  • Jimmy R.

Excellent breakfast spot! Good for you and the wife, or the whole family. Food was excellent, service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. If there is anything you want that isn't on the menu, and they have the items to prepare it, they will. Not that their menu is limited by any means. One important thing: don't be deterred by the crowd of people gathered at the entrance. The turn around is very impressive! You won't be waiting as long as you may think. Been there, ate that, and got a cool t-shirt for only $10.

Enjoyed a late breakfast at GE. Seated right away and took our order. Service was very friendly and we got our breakfast drinks quickly but our food order took some time. We figured it was due to the crowd - there were lots of families having a late breakfast as well. Typical diner food. It was good and filling. Prices were reasonable. Would come back.

Great food and great staff been living in Surfside Beach for 8 months and kicking myself for not going sooner. They only have home fries which are awesome here but wasn't expecting the peppers and onions in them I love them but daughter wouldn't eat them. When sever noticed she wasn't eating them she offered to get plain ones for her. Thanks for the great service it is becoming rare these days.

Good value for your money. Yummy. Huge meals, very hot coffee - a must that lots of breakfast places do not have. Our server was excellent. We will be back next time we are in town.

This is a little busy place. Crowded & was seated in 15minute. I ordered the waffles, my son the cinnamon roll, my daughter had pancakes & last but not least my wife had Eggs Benedict. Everyone's food was hot except mine. My waffle was cold. This is why I'm giving a 3 star review. Everyone else's was perfect. Hope this helps.

On vacation and looked for a local place for some good breakfast... The Golden Egg didnt let us down. Good food and generous portions at a reasonable price.

  • John A.

The Lobster scramble was great. The Waldorf Chicken sandwich was one of the best I've had. Definitely recommend. Caution - that shaker on the table that looks like cinnamon definitely is not cinnamon - so don't sprinkle it all over your English muffin.

  • Sally M.

We went to golden egg for breakfast. Service was good, food not so good. I got french toast which had no taste at all. My son had some kind of potatoes with green peppers. They were mushy. We will not be back.

The only place to have breakfast in the area. Efficient service and quality food with an amazing selection. Prices are about $7ish per person. Order a giant cinnamon roll to share, you will be in breakfast heaven.

  • Michelle A.

Service was good, place is clean and no smoking. Food came fast and was very good. Greek omelet and biscuit, both Belgian waffle specials; one chocolate caramel with bananas and the other raspberry and vanilla with strawberries. Kids finished them!

  • Adam S.

Packed out on a sunny Thursday morning. Waited 45mins for a table for 9. The portions were great. My son ate the side of pancakes which came with my omelets. 3 omelets were ordered and all three pleased. Carolina for me, Philly steak for the wife and spinach and something for our friend. We were all pleased. The kids cleaned their plates. The bill was under $70. Service was OK to good. Our server was slammed and other staff would check on us. Very comfortable and inviting environment. Met an older couple who were rocking the tee shirts who said they ate at the Golden Egg every morning. Only negative was the bathroom adventure later in the day. Maybe I shouldn't have went with the Carolina omelet.

We've been at surfside beach for 3 nights already and we regret not finding this place sooner! We are leaving tomorrow morning and we will definitely stop by here again before heading back home! I got the breakfast burrito which I LOVED. Husband got the steak and eggs. It was a little bit of a wait but well worth it!! We definitely recommend coming here for breakfast.

In the area and wanted to grab breakfast - yelped and found the Golden Egg. Easy to get to and AMPLE parking! (Clearly marked too - you will love it). Our waitress was super cool and answered all our questions. I got the corned beef hash omelette. It sounded so good but I do NOT recommend it. Its almost like it was canned corn beef or something. Biscuit was good. Coffee ok. Nice place - average food.

  • Cathleen W.

We arrived at 1pm on a Sunday. We were immediately seated and asked what we would like to drink. Coffee was ok. Nothing gourmet or special. I ordered eggs florentine which is eggs Benedict with spinach. My husband ordered steak and eggs. My poached eggs were hard. Which I promptly sent back. My husband ordered his steak medium rare. it came with a cold center. He didn't send his back. Over all the food was good, service was excellent.

  • George B.

The portions are huge and the price is a good deal, not too pricey! I had the breakfast bowl and it was very tasty. I didn't hear any complaints from my party of ten. The staff was very friendly and attentive even though they were slammed. Great breakfast food.

    (5)
  • Khadafy K.

Quick service, good food. We got there around 8am on a Sunday and didn't have to wait for a table. Once we sat down, we were served fresh hot coffee and the waitress left the entire carafe on the table. I've read other reviews about the home fries, and yes, it is a bit heavy on the black pepper, but I didn't mind. The waitress was so nice, we told her we were on our way to the airport and she gave us coffee to go.

Love the cinnamon roll here. It's smothered with cream cheese icing. I mean it pools on the entire plate. Really good OJ and I really enjoyed my super veggie and cheese omelette with egg white.

  • Amanda R.

I dearly love the Golden Egg. I wish we had a breakfast joint half as good at home. When we're in Myrtle for vacation, we eat here almost every morning. They have the best selection of omelettes, and they are delicious and filling. They also serve has... yummy! Our group of vacationers always talk about the Golden Egg when we get back home lol! It's that good!

    (5)
  • Margaret G.

Not a good breakfast spot. Our waitress was great but the hostesses were grumpy, the coffee was not good and the pancakes had a weird flavor. We weren't sure why it was so crowded since there are so many other good breakfast spots in Surfside.

Omelets and good service! The meal was pretty cheap, but the meal was delicious. I got some made-to-order omelet and they didn't charge me extra (deviated from an omelet on the menu). The potatoes were delicious, and they give you options for bread: pancake, white/wheat toast, and french toast!

Great place to go for breakfast. 9am it starts to get busy. The omelets come with home fries and choice of bread or French toast! No one left hungry. Left the waitress a $20 because she was working hard on Mother's Day. She was very nice.

Okay... it's official. I am now prepared to declare that the chipped beef at this restaurant is the best I have ever had... hands down. The secret is in the cream sauce. This dish is a must try... prepare to fall in love.

We ate breakfast here twice during a recent beach weekend. The first visit we were seated right away and got a cushy booth. I ordered pancakes with bananas and pecans. They were really good (pecans in the batter), and it was a generous portion. I also got a side of grits (they offer small and large). I got the small, which was SMALL. I got both my kids the silver dollar pancakes off the kids menu ($2, and it comes with a drink). They both liked the pancakes, but I should have gotten them one order and let them split it- it was too much. My husband got the breakfast burrito, which was two eggs scrambled with cheese in a tortilla with home fries, sausage or bacon, and salsa, all wrapped inside a tortilla, served with homefries or grits. He left out the meat. He really liked his. The second visit here we were with a large group, and it was on a Saturday morning, so we had to about 15 minutes to be seated. We had a different server this time, and she was not as cheery as our last server. It took a while to get our drink orders. I decided to try an omelette this time, so I chose the Greek omelette: Feta Cheese, Spinach, and Tomatoes. It came with homefries or grits (I chose the fries this time), and either toast, biscuit OR 2 pancakes. I got the pancakes. The pancakes were good, but the omelette had NO taste. It was just really bland. The service (the first time) was quick and cheery, the portions were big, and the prices were cheap.

Worst customer service ever by hostess. Seated other couple who came in after us who had asked me how long the wait was. After 30 minutes when he complained, they seated him immediately. When I objected they lied about reason for seating him first. Waitress was nice and food adequate. But AVOID AT ALL TIMES.

This was a very nice Local Breakfast restuarant. We had the Chipped Beef over scrambled eggs and Blueberry Waffle. Both were very good and they leave a "POT" of fresh coffee at your table, always a hit with the wife! They seemed a little under staffed with the waitresses, resulting in a little slow service at times. This is definitely a 4 Star restuarant and most likely a 5 Star on fully staffed day. We will return and try other dishes also, they have a large menu!

  • Marjorie N.

HUGE menu! I wish we stumbled upon this gem earlier during our vacation. I might have eaten there every morning! Inside its a little older, but everything was neat and tidy. Our waitress was nice and quickly pointed out that if we didn't see any omelet that we liked they could make it to order- but wow really the menu is big enough already I had a hard enough time deciding! It was hard to imagine they didn't cover every possible combination for an omelet. I had their Grand Strand Omelet with home fries and a half order of their french toast- oh yeah it also comes with french toast and as a half order, they really fooled me; it could have passed for a full! Even their children's portions were substantial, their silver dollar pancakes looked regular size to me, so I'm left wondering what their "regular" ones look like. Their food is very reasonably priced. At the end of our meal when we paid our bill they even offered my kids lollipops or a treasure from their treasure box- so cool! Glad we didn't miss out on this place.

  • Jordan M.

Traditional southern breakfast joint. Generous portions, pretty good prices, and great service. Our waitress was extremely helpful and patient. I ordered the Chicken-Fried-Chicken Omelet, which as you can imagine, is a moment in "fat heaven". I was a little hesitant, but I figured why not go for it, and I am glad I did. The eggs were cooked perfectly (not over done, not too runny), the chicken tasted fresh and the homestyle potatoes are honestly the best ones I have tasted so far. The biscuits were a little dry, which was surprising considering how busy they were, and they sausage patties were completely overcooked. The coffee however was brewed extremely well. If you are in the area you should definitely check it out! You can't miss it! It has a big golden egg on the front of the store! I will be back for sure!

This place is awesome. Although there were hundreds of customers during bike week, the staff kept them moving efficiently and the food was good too. The dining room is a little dated but that's part of the charm I reckon

First time to Myrtle Beach. I'm compelled to write this as this is a Yelp let down. The service is 4 stars and the staff was very friendly. Nice breakfast ambiance. Crowded for the offseason. But the food was disappointing. I had the ham and cheese omelet which was filled with cubed ham and plenty of greasy cheese. Ham was tough and too salty and processed for my tastes. Left half on my plate. My wife had eggs Benedict which was a working man's Benedict with tough and chewy Canadian bacon. We also had biscuits and gravy which was decent. My son had the Belgian waffle which was the best thing at the table. The home fries had an overpowering salty green pepper flavor and no onions I could find. The very low end as far as I'm concerned. I would give this 2.5 stars and suggest Denny's or equivalent. Sorry, no way it's 4 stars.

  • Jeff P.

By far the best value, best food, and best service in the MB area. The selection is terrific, the staff is friendly, professional, fun and well trained. There's often a line at busy times but the line moves quickly and it is well worth the wait. I'm getting hungry just writing the review!

  • Audrey R.

Breakfast was delicious and fast! We came on a busy Sunday morning and service was still great. My husband can not stop raving about how loaded his omelette was with bacon and cheese. The home fries are delicious. Usually home fries and blah but not these. Aside from the screaming children, no complaints

I visit Myrtle Beach pretty often and had passed the Golden Egg many times without stopping, but never again! I took my bridesmaids there for brunch before my wedding, and it was fantastic. We each had different things, but I have to say, the chocolate chip pancakes were out of this world! Also, the atmosphere is great, very laid back and local - definitely a must visit!

Perfect family breakfast spot. We liked the waffles more than the pancakes. Very friendly staff, fast service. Would definitely go again!

Definitely an old folks home, which is usually a good sign for decent food at a good price. Hugh breakfast menu, about anything you could imagine. Our party of 4 ordered Breakfast Quesadillos ( good), French toast( slightly better than average), breakfast bowl ( quite good and the gravy was excellent, gravy and biscuits were terrific. All in all, pretty good breakfast experience.

Have been eating here for about 10 years. Never a disappointment. The chipped beef over scrambled eggs is one of my favs. A must have are the pork chops and eggs. My wife loves the pancakes.

Our server was friendly and the service and wait was better than average in a very busy place. It's a diner with an average diner environment, but an excellent menu with variety. The food was very good and at a very good price. They have a huge omelette menu and we found them to be light and flavorful and a lot of food for the money coming with home fries or grits and also pancakes, toast or biscuits. Love the fact that they had some chic wraps and breakfast quesadillas to choose from as well.

Very pleasantly surprised! The homestyle potatoes are awesome and my server, Beth, well she was fantastic. Very friendly and hospitable. A great find for an out-of-towner. I'll visit again when in the area.

Let me start with the food. That is why you're reading this I hope. I went to the Golden Egg with my friends which totaled a group of Five. I ordered the 2 eggs with Bacon and Home fries and they were decent. Nothing great but then again it was a pretty simple meal. One person ordered the Eggs Benedict and was pleasantly surprised at how good it really was. It did look very delicious I might add. The other orders consisted of the Breakfast Bowl which I will definitely try the next time I'm down. Also, there was a Breakfast Burrito and Breakfast Sandwhich ordered. Everyone was happy with their meals and it was overall a nice Mom and Pop place to eat. The menu also offered up French Toast, Pancakes Cinnamon Roll. From what I saw at other tables, the pancakes looked delicious and I almost ordered a Cinnamon Roll for the ride home. The only thing that ruined this for me was the waitress that served us. She started taking our order and completely jumped from one side of the table to the other which seemed very odd. I could see the light dim from her eyes when we told her that it would be separate checks and after she left we all mentioned that the order would probably not be correct because of her attitude. About 30mins. into the wait, I noticed her walk out of the kitchen, look at us and immediately walk back in after shaking her head. In the hour that we waited for our simple breakfasts she only checked on us one time, despite taking orders from surrounding tables. She was very unorganized and didn't even apologize for the wait or lack of service. At least make up an excuse as to why the meal took 1 hour to make! One of the patrons asked for a slice of cheese for her grits and was given a bowl of shredded cheddar cheese. Also, when she was giving us our food, she forgot the grits and toast that came with some of the meals and when we asked about it she immediately started checking her ticket rather than look behind her where the other waitress set them down. This was rather awkward to point out to her because it was as if she was about to argue with us about the side items. When I mentioned the what I thought was the Manager, all I got was an "I'm Sorry" as she swiped my credit card. All in all, the food was good but our waitress was HORRIBLE. The other waitress' seemed very attentive and knowledgeable on how to do their job.

I had Meat lovers omelet with pancakes it was great. Home fries were OK but could use more seasoning & a little more well done. Pancakes were excellent big & fluffy. Husband had steak & cheese omelet, home fries, and pancakes his was excellent as well with the home fries caution. You can ask for them well done I heard another patron ask for that however we didn't know to since this was our first time there. Kids had pancakes & sausage they really enjoyed it. Waitress was nice & seemed to know everyone by name. We tipped her well. Our bill was about $30.00 so it's not pricy at all for a family of 4... Gave them 4 stars because of home fries and there was also flies on the window where we were sitting at. I also had something floating in my glass of apple juice other then that we really enjoyed it. FAST SERVICE!!

This place is awesome for breakfast. They have as good a menu as the Egg and I. I got breakfast quesadillas and loved it. My husband wished he would have picked what I did. My son got a big ole' pancake and loved it too. The only reason why I am giving it three stars is because the wait staff wasn't all that friendly. I like to go where I feel welcomed. I brought my 4 year old and my 8 month old and they spilled stuff and I don't thing the staff appreciated it. They kinda acted funny about it. Children are going to spill things, get over it! The restaurant is right off the busy highway and is very easy to find. There were lots of old people that had been there drinking coffee since 5 am I think. It's a big senior citizen hang out, which is fine with me. I didn't mind it. The food was well worth it.
